WHOSE ANXIETY CAN YOU EASE TODAY?

How are you doing at the moment?

How are you REALLY doing?

How do you think your team members are doing?

For many executive women — and I include myself in this — things feel uncertain and heavy in the world right now. And when it feels that way for us, you can be damned sure it’s feeling that way for your team members, too, and particularly your highly-motivated, highly-attuned high performers.

Feels like we’re all carrying extra weight in our hearts and souls.

As women leaders, we have a unique opportunity — and responsibility — to create spaces where our team members can breathe more easily.

I’ve noticed something powerful and a bit magical: when we find space to shelve our own worries and lead with compassionate empathy, we don’t just ease our team members’ anxiety; we ease our own. We unlock their potential AND we unlock our own.

A team member who feels truly seen and supported brings their whole self to work, innovates more freely, and tackles challenges with renewed confidence.

A leader who brings her whole self to her team discussions, who compassionately listens, nurtures and supports her people, also comes away with renewed confidence and freedom.

This isn’t about fixing everything. It’s about being the steady presence your team needs. It’s in the small moments: the “How are you really doing?” conversations, the extra few minutes in your 1:1s to discuss what’s weighing on their minds, the genuine acknowledgment of their concerns while helping them focus on what they can control.

Your emotional intelligence is a superpower. Use it intentionally.

Notice the subtle signs — the usually enthusiastic contributor who’s suddenly quiet in meetings, the top performer whose confidence is wavering, the team member who seems more withdrawn than usual.

If you’re feeling unsure about how to support team members through anxiety, know that this, too, is part of your leadership journey. I work with women executives to strengthen these exact skills. Let’s connect (link’s in my bio) and explore how you can be the leader your team needs right now.

Your capacity for empathy isn’t just a soft skill — it’s a crucial leadership attribute that can transform your team’s experience and performance.

Who on your team needs to feel seen and supported today?

Much love to you,
Karyn x
